The Astor Community Theatre is suspending all public performances and all classes until further notice in order to avoid contributing to the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The impact of COVID-19 is a critical threat to the Astor and to the livelihoods of all those who work in the arts. All our operating income comes from people like you coming to see our performances and spending money in our bar. Without these performances the vast majority of our income disappears.

But we do not believe it is practical or responsible to stage shows or hold classes when people’s lives are at risk. Please bear with us, as we will begin to contact all ticket holders shortly. Anyone with tickets for a postponed or cancelled performance will be entitled to exchange for a future performance or a refund.

But, before you ask for a refund consider your ticket price a donation towards the survival of the Astor as your local community theatre. As Boris Johnson has not ordered the closure of theatres, we are unable to make a claim for business interruption.

However, we are determined to survive, to retain our dedicated team and to get our shows back on track as soon as possible so we need your help urgently.

The Astor Community Theatre is a Community Interest Company and any donation – large or small – will ensure that your theatre stays thriving long after this crisis is past.

The Astor’s future is at risk

Will you help us survive?

Thank you for your continuing support.
