We are actively monitoring and following advice from Government and Public Health England about the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Based on the latest advice, we’re staying open and performances are going ahead as scheduled. If there are any future changes to our opening, we will update the website and notify ticket-holders. If there are any changes to a performance or event we are hosting, we will be in touch with you directly by email (or phone if we don’t hold an email address) as soon as possible.

We’re asking all visitors or workers in the building to stay aware of the latest advice from Government on Coronavirus and to follow that advice to minimise the risk of the virus spreading.

What measures are being taken to reduce the risk of the virus spreading?

We have put a variety of different measures in place, which include additional cleaning measures, boosting supplies of hand soap and sanitizer and providing the latest information to our staff and company on how to detect symptoms and prevent the virus being passed on.

We’ll follow Government guidance and take any further steps necessary as the situation changes.

Are you offering refunds if I'm feeling unwell or I'm unable to travel?

Tickets are not refundable, unless a performance is cancelled or postponed. In the case of the latter then the ticket will still be valid for the new date unless a refund option is chosen. Any refunds must be processed within 30 days of the original show date.

If you are unable to use your tickets, please speak to our Box Office team and we’ll do our best to help. We may be able to exchange or resell your ticket. If the show is sold out and we have a waiting list we may issue a refund on the spot. Otherwise the returned tickets can be sold once all the other available tickets have been sold. We can’t promise to find a buyer for the tickets but we’ll do our best. An administration charge of £2 per ticket applies (maximum charge £6). This is discretionary depending upon circumstance.

Exchanges for groups of 10 or more are at the discretion of The Astor Theatre management. Our ticketing policy operates at the discretion of The Astor Theatre management.

What happens if I feel unwell when I'm attending an event?

If you feel unwell with Coronavirus symptoms (see the NHS website for information), you should leave the venue, call the NHS 111 helpline and follow their advice.

We all have a shared responsibility towards the sustainability of the planet. Here at The Astor we are taking steps to become as ecologically sound as we possibly can be. This will take many forms but we hope that you, our audience, might be able to assist us in some small way...

As part of our new website launch you will also notice that we produce tickets in a slightly different way; the format has altered and features our new logo, for instance. You might also notice that all tickets now carry a QR code to the right hand side, allowing us to admit patrons with no physical ticket.

As part of a drive to save energy and paper we wouyld like to encourage patrons either to present this code on arrival on a phone or other device and we can scan it at the box office and show you straight to your seat.

Similarly, it is now much easier to print your tickets at home, if you are able to do so.

If necessary, we will of course still print tickets. But this is part of a real commitment to reducing paper usage in the theatre in the coming months and years and we sincerely hope that you will come with us as we make several of these smaller steps to add up to a more environmentally prudent future for the theatre.

We can all help to make a difference and promote sustainability for future generations. We'd also welcome your thoughts as to any other steps that you think we could take...
