In conversation with Christopher Cook, Philip Reed, who edited the letters of Benjamin Britten, explores what they reveal about the composer and his music and what they tell us about his professional and sometimes personal relationships with other musicians and composers, opera companies and arts organisations.
This talk will introduce the music by Britten that we are to hear in this evening’s concert.
