The Deal Savoyards

The main aims of the society are to produce all of the Savoy Operas at the Astor Theatre, combined with talks, events and research into all aspects of Gilbert and Sullivan. All those interested in performing (singers, instrumentalists - yes we want an orchestra - and actors) and those who can help with the musicology/research side, the scenery and stage management or who are just plain nuts on Gilbert and Sullivan are invited. We are also looking for potential sponsors and patrons so if anyone has the ability to help in this way they would be most welcome.

Explore the basic skills of making stained glass and develop techniques to make a small panel or maybe a suncatcher using copperfoil, the finer work introduced by Louis Tiffany. The Astor Community Choir

The Astor Community Choir meet up every week to share our love of singing. We are a friendly bunch of folk and hold no auditions. You don’t need to be able to read music, play an instrument or have any previous experience in singing - by yourself or in a choir. Join us for a free taster session.


This musical theatre class meets every Saturday during term time, teaching singing, acting and dance. Cost: £15 per session | £7.50 for lower income families MUST have proof of benefits.

Rock Choir
